Protecting your privacy is core to the philosophy behind Frame.. This privacy policy explains what information is used by the extension, how it is processed, and why certain permissions are required.
Frame. does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Your browsing history, passwords, searches, and personal information never leave your device. We do not operate any external servers designed to harvest user data, and we will never sell any information to third parties.
All data generated by your use of Frame. (such as your bookmarked artworks, display preferences, or the counter of replaced advertisements) is stored strictly locally on your computer via your browser's chrome.storage.local API. This data belongs entirely to you and is completely inaccessible by the extension's creator or any third parties.
To function properly and transform ad slots into an art gallery, Frame. requires certain permissions within your browser. Here is exactly why we need them:
<all_urls>): This permission is essential for the extension to visually detect advertising containers on the pages you visit so it can inject artworks in their place. The extension's script only examines the structure of the page to locate ads; it never reads or records the content you are viewing.declarativeNetRequest): This permission is used exclusively to intercept and block requests to known ad servers at the source. This removes advertisements, significantly speeds up your webpage loading times, and blocks invisible trackers (thereby enhancing your overall privacy).topSites): This permission is used solely on the extension's "New Tab" page. It allows the display of convenient shortcuts to your favorite websites. This information is read locally by your browser and is never shared.By blocking advertising scripts, Frame. actively prevents many third-party trackers from executing in your browser. Using our extension therefore increases your overall level of privacy on the internet by limiting the tracking of your behavior by advertising networks.
If we add new features in the future, this privacy policy may be updated. However, our fundamental commitment will never change: Frame. will always remain a tool that respects your privacy, with absolutely zero personal data collection.
